Under the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India, the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE is responsible for conducting the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) for the session year.

Eligibility Criteria
Before applying online for the GATE 2025 Registration, applicants must check their eligibility education qualification, age limit, and nationality from here.
- Nationality – Indian nationals and candidates from Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are eligible to apply.
- Educational Qualification – Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (4 years after 10+2 or 3 years after Diploma in Engineering/Technology). Bachelor’s degree in Science (B.Sc.) or currently in the final year of such programs are also eligible. They must have studied Mathematics in their undergraduate course.
- Age Limit – GATE 2025 has no age limit set by the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
- Number of Attempts – There is no restriction on the number of attempts for appearing in GATE.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE – 2025) is the M.E./ M.Tech/ Ph.D Admissions Entrance Examination.
